1.1 Context
The “Women microenterprise development in the cross-border area” project is financed under the framework of the instrument of pre-accession assistance (IPA II) programme 2014-2020 and is the result of joint planning efforts made partners from the two countries, Montenegro and Albania.
The overall goal of the proposed intervention is “Strengthen the women entrepreneurship initiatives in Ulcinj and Shkodra regions and provide sustainable solutions for development of women`s micro and small businesses in the cross-border area”.
The intervention will target Potential women and youth entrepreneurs, Existing women and youth owned companies/businesses, Participants involved at B2B meetings and business fairs, Local institutions and stakeholders, Local businesses.
Combining multiple level interventions, we aim to a longer-term impact by strengthening the targeted beneficiaries and stakeholders and introducing detection, referral and response instruments (local level) as well as policy and legal proposals addressing preparedness, introducing changes related to socio=economic welfare of womenand girls. Awareness raising and supporting of start-up initiatives and further development of existing businesses carried out in parallel, will contribute to longer-term results of the proposed intervention.
The project and its development are based on trustful partnershipsbetween Municipality of Ulcinj in the role of Lead Beneficiary and MoGul NGO on the Montenegrin side and Consulting and Development Partner on the Albanian side.
The project is funded by the IPA CBC programme Montenegro-Albania 2014-2020
Finance officer will be responsible for overall project financial management, preparing all the activity payments (fee for trainers, experts, facilitators, moderators etc), monthly payroll, collection of timesheets, financial reports, both periodic and final, preparation of contracts for project staff, experts, trainers, tender for all the purchases (equipment, transport, publishing) etc. The monthly working time on the project is estimated at 100%
2.1.Beneficiaries: Women and girls in business or those who intend to develop a new one living in the municipality of Ulcinj
2.2.Expected results of the project intervention
Result 1.1. Improved skills and competences in business management, risk mitigation and general entrepreneurial attitudes and business values;
Result 1.2: Increased economic activity in production, trade and sale of local products
Result 2.1. Established Business Hub Advisory Services for women entrepreneurs in order to increase economic activities and business development;
Result 2.2. Women business offer promoted and marketed
2.3. Indicative assignment date:
The engagement is expected to start on 20 January 2025 until the end of the project 31 December 2026
